As an important facility for the Molonglo Valley community, we asked the community to tell us their preferred option for the name and the school uniform. Feedback was received using the ACT Government’s Your Say online voting function, resident drop-in sessions, emails and social media and this helped us finalise the different aspects of the school’s visual brand.
School Logo
This concept captures the likeness of the Australian Reed-Warbler, a commonly spotted bird around Canberra’s wetlands including the nearby Molonglo River during its summer migration. They are known for their persistent singing and chattering.
The logo shows the simplicity and beauty of the natural landscape surrounding the school, and the soft colours keep it friendly and elegant.
School Uniform
The uniform was developed with consideration regarding gender neutrality, comfort, ease of manufacture, ease of matching colour and distinctiveness from nearby schools.
We have worked with ethical uniform suppliers to select material and styles. The final uniform design includes a full suite of uniform items, including hats, school bags and coloured sport shirts.
The navy polo shirt proudly features our school’s Reed-Warbler logo and is the centrepiece of the school uniform, which can be coordinated with black bottoms in the form of skorts, shorts, pants, and skirts.
Summer and winter uniform options are available including dresses, jackets, jumpers, hoodies, and long-sleeved shirts. These can also be accompanied by a selection of head dresses and wraps.
Uniforms are available to purchase from our local supplier, Workin' Gear. Families are able to order uniforms online anytime or visit their Fyshwick store in person during their business hours.
