Wellbeing at Evelyn Scott School
At Evelyn Scott School, we have invested heavily in wellbeing because we understand that learning and wellbeing are inextricably linked. We recognise the strong association between safety, wellbeing and learning. We use the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework to create safe, supportive and respectful teaching and learning communities.
Our objective is for learners to:
- feel safe, valued and have a sense of belonging at school
- develop healthy and respectful relationships within their community
- become socially and emotionally aware citizens
We have extended our Wellbeing Team in 2023 to build on our specialist staff for both our Junior and Senior Campuses.
- Beth Matters is our Wellbeing Coach for our Junior Campus
- Michael Hilton is our Wellbeing Coach for our Senior Campus
- Matthew James, Dominic MacFarlane, Bridie Laycock-Kelly and Silafono Titiuti make up our Youth Support Worker Team currently working across P-10
- Tamar Sloane is the School Psychologist for our Senior Campus.
- Marnie Lotts is our Wellbeing and Careers Support Officer in the Senior Campus
Our Wellbeing Team works closely with the school leadership team, teachers, young people and families.
